Should the candidate wear a suit to the interview?

How does what a candidate wears affect your hiring decision?
If a candidate dresses too casually it leads me to believe they don’t take the position seriously, they don’t consider themselves to be professionals, and that they don’t respect me and the time I’ve scheduled to interview them.
