So I’ve known about the ALA New Member Round Table’s Resume Review service for a while. Not only can anyone get their resume reviewed at ALA Annual and Midwinter, but NMRT members can get their resumes reviewed via email, year-round.
Recently I’ve started to come across other library associations’ resume review services. For example:
- The Music Library Association runs a web-based service.
- The North Carolina Special Libraries Association runs a service for members.
- The Oregon Special Library Association ran an intriguing event in 2012, the Resume Review-o-Rama, for library students.
- NY’s METRO has a resume review service for myMETRO members.
Do you know of any on-going services or upcoming events? Have you used or participated in one of these services, and has it given you *opinions* about it?
Let me know in the comments, or shoot me an email at hiringlibrarians AT gmail. I’m curious!
